FBI Apostille for Panama

Do you need to apostille your FBI background check for Panama?

Both Panama and the United States are members of the Hague Apostille Convention.  This means than any document issued in the United States and destined for Panama must be apostilled in order for it to be accepted in Panama.

An FBI background check is a U.S. Federal Government document issued by the U.S. Department of Justice.  This document can only be apostilled through the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C.  An FBI background check is not notarized nor is it process through any state office.  Please do not notarize your FBI background check because it will not be accepted at the U.S. Department of State.

Note: If you have not obtained your FBI background check, please contact our office so we can recommend an FBI Channeler.  We recommend that you ask the FBI channeler to email you the results in .PDF format.

If you receive your FBI background check in a digital format (PDF copy), go ahead and e-mail it to us with the completed order form and payment (see below).  If you receive your FBI background by regular mail (Hard copy), go ahead and mail it to our Washington DC apostille office with our order forms (see below).  We can process a digital PDF copy or a hard copy.  It’s your choice.

Obtaining an apostille can be complicated. Don’t leave this process to untrained employees or non-professionals who do not fully understand the Apostille process and the unique requirements of certain countries.
