If you receive your FBI background check in a digital format (PDF copy), go ahead and e-mail it to me with the completed order form and payment (see below).  If you receive your FBI background by regular mail (Hard copy), go ahead and mail it to our Washington DC office with our order forms (see below).  We can process a digital PDF copy or a hard copy.  It’s your choice.

An FBI background check cannot be notarized nor processed through any Secretary of State offices.  The only office able to apostille this document is the US Department of State in Washington DC.  Our staff in Washington DC will hand deliver and pick up your documents through the US Department of State in four business days.  We also provide FedEx overnight return shipping at no additional cost.  For example, if we receive your FBI background check on Monday before 2pm, it will be completed on Friday and shipped out by FedEx priority overnight.  This is the absolute fastest service in Washington D.C.

Apostille for SpainDo you need an FBI Apostille for Spain?

If you are planning to work, travel too, obtain dual-citizenship, get married in, or move to the country of Spain, you may be asked to obtain an apostille on your FBI background check. Spain is a member of the Hague Apostille Convention and documents destined for this country will require an apostille from the U.S. Department of State.

If you are in the beginning stages and have not yet submitted your fingerprints directly to the FBI, we recommend that you contact an FBI Channeler to help expedite the background check process. In most cases, the FBI Channeler will be able to obtain the background check within one week. If you decide to go through the FBI directly, the processing time is 14-16 weeks. All questions related to obtaining your background check should be directed to the FBI Channeler.

In additional to the FBI Apostille, you may be asked to also have several other documents apostilled. For example, if you plan to get married in Spain, the country may request a certified copy of your birth certificate, divorce decree (If you are divorced) or single status affidavit. The current processing time with the U.S. Department of State – Office of Authentications is 3-4 business days. Once we receive your documents, we will process them through the U.S. Department of the State the following business morning. The only documents you need to mail-in to our office is the FBI Background check, order form, and credit card authorization form. You do not need to mail in the DS 4194 form.
