FBI Background Check Certification for Uganda

Do you need to certify and legalize your FBI background check for Uganda?

Certifying and legalizing an FBI background check for the country of Uganda is a multi-step process.  Because Uganda is not a member of the Hague Apostille Convention, your background check will require two steps to complete.  These two steps include U.S. Department of State certification and Uganda Embassy legalization.

FBI background checks are U.S. Federal Government documents and cannot be certified at any U.S. State office.  The only government agency authorized to certify this document is the U.S. Department of State – Office of Authentication in Washington, D.C.

The first step in obtaining your Federal background check is to contact an FBI approved channelers.  Once you receive your FBI background check, you can then mail in your document to our office in Washington, D.C. for processing.  In order to save time and money, you can request a digital FBI background check from the FBI approved Channeler to be emailed to you.  Once you receive this digital copy, go ahead and email it to our office: SUPPORT@APOSTILLEFBI.COM

If you elect to receive a hard-copy of your FBI background check in the mail, you will need to mail in this document to our Washington, D.C. office for processing.  Typically, a hard copy will be printed on a special FBI approved paper that cannot be duplicated.  If you attempt to make copy of this document, you will see the words void, copy, or unauthorized.  The U.S. Department of State must receive the original hard copy.

Please Note: We can only help you with documents originating from or notarized within the United States.  If your documents originated from Uganda, you will need to contact the correct competent authority to assist you in that country.  Documents prepared in Uganda and notarized in the United States (Example: Power of Attorney, Authorization of Agent, Affidavit) can be certified and legalized for Uganda through the U.S. State, U.S. Department of State, and the Uganda Embassy
